A warm welcome to InvestAcc

Following the completion of InvestAcc’s acquisition of the AJ Bell Platinum SIPP and SSAS business on 3rd November 2025, this page provides key information for Financial Advisers of former AJ Bell Platinum customers.

On this page you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), details of any updates to how your client’s pension is administered, and contact information for the relevant InvestAcc teams.

Our aim is to make this transition as smooth as possible and ensure that you have confidence in the continuity, stability, and service quality of your client’s SIPP or SSAS going forward.

These FAQs will be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis.

Frequently Asked Questions for Financial Advisers

Details of the move, contact details and other useful information

1. What has happened and what does it mean for my clients?

InvestAcc Pension Administration Limited has completed the acquisition of the AJ Bell Platinum SIPP and SSAS business.

This means InvestAcc now provides all administration, operation and trustee services for these products. Your clients remain members of the same pension schemes, and their existing investments and benefits are unchanged. The transfer relates only to who provides administration — it is not a pension transfer.

2. Do I or my clients need to do anything?

No — there is no action required from you or your clients.

All existing arrangements continue as normal, and investments, income payments and contributions carry on without interruption.

We recommend that you review the latest product literature and save down the updated contact information for the administration of your client’s SIPP and / or SSAS. Contact details can be found under FAQ 7.

3. Who is InvestAcc?

InvestAcc is a multi-award-winning UK pensions administrator specialising in Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPP) and Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSAS).

We administer over 17,000 customer accounts with more than £8.5 billion of assets under administration and have been providing bespoke pension services for over 30 years.

4. How does this affect adviser relationships?

Advisers continue to act for clients exactly as before. We have worked closely with AJ Bell to retain as many of your usual points of contact as possible, though with updated InvestAcc contact information.

If you send an email to a previous AJ Bell address, it will automatically forward to the relevant InvestAcc team. You’ll then receive a response from an ‘@investacc.co.uk’ address — please save this for future use and remove any old ‘@ajbell.co.uk’ contacts from your records.

At InvestAcc, we require a countersigned Terms of Business to be in place for all Advisers acting on behalf of clients who have schemes under our operation and administration. Failure to put a valid Terms of Business in place may cause delays to instruction processing, adviser fee payments, and overall service delivery.

If you do not have this in place, please download Terms of Business via the button below, sign and return to [email protected]

Should you have any questions, please contact us via email on [email protected], or telephone on 01228 538 988.

5. What has changed?

The day-to-day administration and operation of Platinum SIPP and SSAS schemes is now handled by InvestAcc.

New contact details are in place for administration and operational queries. These are available under question 7.

Otherwise, your client’s pension arrangements, scheme rules and trustees remain the same.

6. What hasn't changed?

  • Trustees: remain the same
  • Plan numbers: unchanged
  • Investments and contributions: continue as before
  • Fees and banking arrangements: unchanged (subject to normal annual updates or interest rate changes)
  • Your role as adviser: continues exactly as before

7. How do I contact InvestAcc Platinum?
