A warm welcome to InvestAcc

Following the completion of InvestAcc’s acquisition of the AJ Bell Platinum SIPP and SSAS business on 3rd November 2025, this page provides key information for Customers.

On this page you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), details of any updates to how your pension is administered, and contact information for the relevant InvestAcc teams.

Our aim is to make this transition as smooth as possible and ensure that you have confidence in the continuity, stability, and service quality of your SIPP or SSAS going forward.

These FAQs will be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis. If you are not sure what this move might mean for you, we encourage you to speak to an authorised Financial Adviser.

A separate page of information is available for your Financial Adviser if you have one, here.

Frequently Asked Questions for Customers

Details of the move, contact details and other useful information

1. What has happened and what does it mean for me?

The administration of your AJ Bell Platinum SIPP or SSAS has now transferred to InvestAcc Pension Administration Limited (“InvestAcc”), a specialist, multi-award-winning pensions administrator.

You remain a member of the same pension scheme, and your existing investments and benefits are unchanged. The transfer relates only to who provides administration, operation and trustee services.

2. Do I need to do anything?

No — there is no action required from you.

All existing arrangements continue as normal, and investments, income payments and contributions carry on without interruption.

We recommend that you review the latest product literature and save down the updated contact information for the administration of your SIPP or SSAS scheme. Contact details can be found under FAQ 7.

3. Who is InvestAcc?

InvestAcc is a multi-award-winning UK pensions administrator specialising in Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPP) and Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSAS).

We administer over 17,000 customer accounts with more than £8.5 billion of assets under administration and have been providing bespoke pension services for over 25 years.

4. Is my pension safe?

Yes. Your pension investments remain held in the name of the same professional trustee companies as before. They continue to hold all assets jointly with you (or your scheme trustees) for the benefit of your pension.

The move to InvestAcc does not affect the security or ownership of your investments or cash holdings.

5. What has changed?

Your day-to-day administration is now handled by InvestAcc. We have worked hard with AJ Bell to retain as many of your usual points of contact as possible, but with new contact information.

If you, or your adviser if you have one, send an email to a previous AJ Bell email address, it will be automatically forwarded to the respective new InvestAcc email address. You should then expect a response from an ‘@investacc.co.uk’ email address, at which point, please then save this for future use and remove the prior ‘@ajbell.co.uk’ email address from your records.

6. What hasn't changed?

  • Your trustees remain the same.
  • Your SIPP or SSAS plan number remains the same.
  • Your investments and contributions continue as before.
  • Your fee structure and banking arrangements are unchanged (subject to normal annual updates or interest rate changes).
  • You can still work with your existing financial adviser exactly as before.

7. How do I contact InvestAcc Platinum?

As part of our joint efforts with AJ Bell to ensure continuity of service, we have sought to minimise changes to how you deal with your clients’ pension by retaining your dedicated Platinum team.
